Tomato Leaf Curl New Delhi Virus (ToLCNDV) is an important pathogen of the family Geminiviridae and it is transmitted by whitefly (Bemisia tabaci). Initially, it was found to infect Solanum lycopersicum (Tomato) crop, however later it was also discovered to be infecting other Solanaceae crops such as Potato, Capsicum and many Cucurbitaceae crops including Watermelon, Cucumber and Pumpkin. ToLCNDV has been a known pathogen infecting tomato crop in India for nearly two decades. It has also been reported from other parts of Asia including Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Thailand.
